In the feature film \"Letters from Iwo Jima\" directed by Clint Eastwood shows a completely different side of the coin battle of Iwo Jima in 1945 year between the United States and Japan. This is not the usual heroism of American soldiers, and the power of the spirit inherent in the Japanese who fought for a little piece of their land. The film shows all the hopelessness of this battle for the Japanese, whose troops lost considerably in comparison with the powerful army, the Americans. But the soldiers fought, even seeing the whole absurdity of this War, as well as despair and died as heroes.
