The series is based on Candice Fox's bestseller. The main character of the series is the disgraced former police officer Ted Conkaffi, falsely accused of committing a dirty crime. He is hired by Amanda Farrell, an eccentric private detective with a criminal past. While trying to find the whereabouts of a missing Korean immigrant and technology pioneer, they uncover a series of strange deaths. The diverse duo is drawn into a struggle for survival and sanity in the wilderness of Far North Queensland.
