A purely English series based on purely English novels by Caroline Graham. The sum of English detective stories does not change when the order of the elements is changed, and time does not have power over true values. The fastidious islanders continue to commit the most sophisticated crimes, followed by elegant detectives with the most thorough and respectful manner. The backdrop for these restrained passions remains green lawns and shady alleys, gloomy offices, and cold bedrooms. Almost all of the action takes place in the villages of the small, exemplary peaceful county of Midsomer. Sometimes, something happens on this pastoral background that has never been seen even in the capitals. And the rural police do not choose a service that is dangerous and difficult.
