The writer Sandra Voiter lives with her husband Samuel and their blind son Daniel in the snowy Alps. Their peaceful life is disrupted when Daniel discovers his father's lifeless body, presumably fallen from a window. The police question whether it was suicide or murder. Sandra becomes a suspect, as she was the only one in the house besides her husband. Six months later, a trial begins, where Daniel becomes the main witness, but he starts to doubt his mother's innocence at some point. The woman has to confront a merciless machine of justice and reveal the unsightly side of her marriage.
